magazine published by Jati Nirmula Samity in Manibai Hall, Ahmedabad. On
his left Valjibhai Patel, Dalit leader and on right side is Manishi
Jani, leader of Navnirman movement and one of the compilers of first
collection of Dalit poems in Gujarati and editor Raju Solanki. D. 14

when I see him
standing in the urinal
Sacred thread entwined on his ear
in my mind emerges
an image of a dog
pissing
with its hind leg lifted
