410 were brutally murdered, 5733 were
either permanently or partially disabled, 537 women were abused, tortured and
raped (and not a single candle was burned for any of them), 9773 were insulted,
threatened and humiliated, 1204 incidents of damage to property, including
houses, live stock, boat, vehicles, irrigation wells, drinking water wells,
tube wells, electric fittings, fruit bearing trees, etc., 1673 incidents of migration and 19135 incidents of
social boycotts (a powerful device to maintain façade of samrasta). These are the figures of atrocities on Dalits in Gujarat
during last twenty years – 1990 to 2011. All in all, total incidents of
atrocities on Dalits in Gujarat, year-wise: 1991(1080), 1992(1561), 1993(1751),
1994(1916), 1995(1777), 1996(1781), 1997(1844), 1998(1762), 1999(1586),
2000(1405), 2001(1033), 2002(1007), 2003(895), 2004(929), 2005(970),
2006(998),2007(1124), 2008(1168), 2009(1083), 2010(1011), 2011(1082).
These are figures of atrocities on
Dalits in Gujarat during last twenty years – from 1990 to 2011. Gujarat is land
of saffron, the septic tank of so-called ‘Hindutva’, where worms of samajik samrasta are infesting in
mind blowing proportion. Remember, in Gujarat acquittal rate for the offences
registered under Atrocities Act is 96 percent. Only four cases out of hundred
are convicted and punished.
As per 2001 census, out of 8 lakh
families of Dalits in Gujarat , 12 thousands families possessed four wheelers,
more than 1 lakh families possessed two wheelers and remaining around 6.30 lakh
families were poor, marginalized, living in slums in cities and in rural areas.
These 6.30 lakh families are not able to educate their children in higher studies,
they have no medi-claims and their lives and savings are constantly threatened
by deadly deceases and accidents, they are poorly paid casual labors and
workers in un-organized sectors, and as the leadership of Dalits in both major
parties (Congress and BJP) comes from those affluent families who hardly care
for their impoverished, less educated, community people. The urban based elite
leadership of Dalits is not concerned for atrocities, humiliation and sufferings
of Dalits living in villages.
Caste based discrimination faced by
dalit is just one aspect of Gujarat tragedy. Statement that ‘rate of mal-nutrition
among children of Gujarat is 44 percent’ is misleading. The actual mal-nutrition
among children of age group 0 to 6 is worse and among Dalit children it is
worst. Recent study of Gerita village done by DHRM (Dalit Hak Rakshak Manch) has
revealed that mal-nutrition among children of age group 0-6 is 94 percent. Gerita
is the village of Mehsana, the most prosperous and developed district of state.
Rate of institutional delivery is 54.6 percent in Gujarat and majority Dalits are
beyond the reach of Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS). The drop-out
rate of state is 55 present and among Dalit it is certainly 70 present. The
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is fraud and Dalit children are cheated in the name

Recently, more than thousand Valmikis
gathered in Ahmedabad. They prayed their god, “make Narendra Modi PM of india.
“ Now, who will win? These Valmikis’ ‘communal’ God or my ‘secular’ Khuda? I
don’t know. I know only one thing. Not a single Valmiki is ‘permanent’ in any of
those thousands of nagarpalikas, village panchayats, and municipalities in GUjarat. The Valmikis
are still demanding for ‘varsai’ (hereditary posting of kith and kin of
deceased employee on the same post). For last fifteen years Valmikis’
socio-economic condition in Gujarat has not seen any dramatic change. Even then
Valmikis have been duped by saffron rules. What are the reasons? I know at
least one.
Anandiben Patel, the second-in-command
of NaMo has found a unique way to con Valmikis. She goes to Valmiki Vas, her
workers gather senior Valmikis and Anandi washes their feet and says, “For
thousands of years you have swept our streets and carry our feaces. You are
Rishis. We owe you a debt of gratitude for all you have done for us. Today I
wash your feet and feel humbled.”
Anandi did this samarasta exercise
twice, first in Patan and then in Ahmedabad and the reaction was quite
imaginable. Valmikis leader s saluted Anandi and said “Mam, your fame will
spread in all directions of universe. Among your ancestors nobody has done such
‘great’ task (like washing feet of harijan). We salute you.”
For sixty years Congress has taken Dalit’
vote bank for granted. Mai-Bap always thought: where these ‘harijans’ would go
for their ‘political’ salvation except us (the grand old party). Saffron
ideologues came with their own gimmicks and tricks and easily fooled Dalit
folks. The ‘elite” Dalit embraced saffron out of sheer selfishness and ‘poor’ Dalit
succumbed to saffron out of horrible helplessness. Net result is total domination
of saffron hegemony in Gujarat.
The so-called development of Gujarat
which is constantly being marketed by Mr. feku and which is constantly consumed
by electronic and print media of entire country is the most sinister and the
dirtiest lie of 21st century. Even if you are a Dalit, urban based
mite feeding on saffron bites, you may not understand this truth. You have to
be a meson living at Ramapirs tekara or Khadavadi chawl or father of a victim
of Thangadh to realize the truth.
